We are presently organising a a regular fortnightly walk along sections of the Retford to West Stockwith section of the canal covering a SSSI section, to monitor and record all we see, be it amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish, insects including butterflies and moths, and canal side plants and vegetation, and aquatic plants etc.
We are currently checking out previously known sett sites adjacent to the east section of the Chesterfield Canal.
We will continue checking out previously known colony sites along the banks of the east section of the Chesterfield Canal.
We will be carrying out fortnightly recording of butterfly and day flying moths along sections of the east section of the Chesterfield Canal. from March onwards, please keep checking diary.
We are undertaking occasional mammal tracking assignments in various locations.
To be arranged.
Bat detecting will begin in March please keep checking the diary pages, anyone interesting in attending bat training sessions please contact Michael Walker of the Notts Bat Group.
